Emily McInerney
Born in Melbourne and moved to her mother’s home town of Broken Hill at the age of eight; Emily McInerney has lived there ever since. Emily completed her schooling in Broken Hill and after finishing high school began a cadetship at the local newspaper - the Barrier Daily Truth. During the cadetship, she began a university course at University of South Australia before realising she enjoyed journalism and transferred to a Bachelor of Media Communications through Charles Sturt University. After finishing that in 2017, she was married in 2018 and welcomed a son in 2020. During that time she continued to work as a journalist at the Barrier Daily Truth. In 2021, she made the move away from full time work to spend more time with her son. Working part-time and taking part in various other side projects.
